MILESTONES AND MEMORIES
Olivia Newton-John represented the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest, singing Long Live Love, this week in 1974. She came fourth. ABBA won, performing Waterloo.

John Paul Young’s Yesterday’s Hero entered the Australian charts this week in 1975.

AC/DC made their UK live debut, playing at The Red Cow in Hammersmith, London, this week in 1976.

Hunters & Collectors released the classic album Human Frailty this week in 1986.

Cold Chisel released No Plans, their first studio album in 14 years, this week in 2012. It debuted at number two – kept out of top spot by One Direction.

Russell Morris scored his first Top 10 album this week in 2013 when Sharkmouth entered the ARIA Top 10.

Happy Birthday to John Butler, who was 43 on April 1.

And we remember the great Jimmy Little, who died, aged 75, this week in 2012, and The Angels’ founding bass player and GANGgajang member, Chris Bailey, who died of cancer, aged 62, this week in 2013.
