MILESTONES AND MEMORIES
Helen Reddy scored her third number one single in the US this week in 1974 when Angie Baby topped the charts.

The Bee Gees scored their fourth US number one single with How Deep Is Your Love this week in 1977. It was the start of a run of six straight chart-toppers for the group.

AC/DC scored their first number one album in the US this week in 1981 when For Those About To Rock We Salute You topped the charts.

Happy Birthday to Jess & Lisa Origliasso from The Veronicas, who are 34 on Christmas Day. And Gregory “Tex” Perkins (The Cruel Sea, Beasts of Bourbon) is 54, and The Easybeats bass player Dick Diamonde (real name: Dingeman van der Sluijs) is 71 on December 28.

And we remember Betty McQuade, best known for the 1961 hit Midnight Bus, who died this week in 2011, after a long illness, aged 70.
